Gluntarne
Gunnar Wennerberg (1817-1901) was a Swedish poet, composer and politician. He is best known today as the creator of the song cycle "Gluntarne" (The Chaps). These songs are a kind of dramatic monologue, which were often recited at the literary salons of the time. “Gluntarne”, as the songs are commonly known, are about a young university student, his slightly older friend and their everyday life in Uppsala and were written for baritone, bass, and piano in 1847-1850.

— Four "Gluntarne" songs performed by Oscar Bergström, Hugo Hulten and Joel Mossberg —
Mossberg and Bergström sing Swedish folksongs: "This combination of well-known Swedish baritone and bass is perfectly suited to reproducing the rich, swelling melodies of these typical Swedish songs." Two humorous songs by Mossberg and Hulten: "The Professor is intoxicated but that doesn’t hold back his strong voice or the stream of witticisms. These selections are just as lovely vocally as they are funny." — Svea 09-18-18
